Lauren Dowling is an abstract artist, graphic designer, and synesthete whose creative journey bridges the worlds of music, business, and visual expression.
With a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance and Business Administration and a master’s degree in Management and Leadership, Lauren has cultivated a diverse foundation that fuels her artistic pursuits. After recognizing the challenges of sustaining a long-term music career in the Midwest, she pivoted toward the marketing industry—where she has since flourished as a respected and accomplished graphic designer.
Lauren’s love for the arts began in childhood and continues to thrive through her passion for bold colors, abstraction, and contrast. As a synesthete, she experiences a rare phenomenon known as personality-color synesthesia—a form of sensory crossover where the personalities of people she meets evoke vivid color impressions. These unique perceptions inspire her to create artwork that reflects the individual essence of those around her.
Whether working in her community, traveling, or in spontaneous settings, Lauren uses her synesthesia to design personalized pieces that celebrate human connection. Each creation is a gesture of kindness, intended to brighten someone’s day and add a splash of color to the world.
